Isophthalic Acid-Based Unsaturated Polyester Resins

This resin is formulated using standard glycols and is dissolved in and cross-linked with styrene monomer. It exhibits medium reactivity and delivers excellent mechanical performance, combining good elongation at break under tension with a high heat distortion temperature (HDT). The resin also offers strong corrosion resistance, high resilience, and excellent resistance to cracking and impact.

Application: Widely used in the manufacture of durable plastic and fiberglass-reinforced products, including: fiberglass pipes, anti-acid boats and chemical tanks (purity up to 70%), pipe production and fittings, storage tanks and connections, composite parts produced by RTM and VIP processes, floating and marine industries.

Characteristic: Medium reactivity, good mechanical strength, high elongation at break, high HDT, excellent resistance to corrosion, cracking, and impact
